Composing – Film & TV Scoring

Heather composes music for film, TV, documentaries, trailers and video games in all genres and musical styles.  She accommodates each individual project's vision and budget. Her scores range from solo instruments, to groups of instruments, to full orchestra, to entirely synthesized electronic scores from her home studio, to scores that feature a combination of live instruments with electronics.  Known for her stunning piano, instrumental, and orchestral compositions in a diverse variety of styles, her music displays skill, creativity, emotional intensity, colors and a sense of drama that are exceptionally well suited for music with visuals.

One of Canada’s most celebrated composers and pianists, Heather now lives in Los Angeles as a dual citizen of both Canada and the USA.  Her music has been performed worldwide including in Canada, the United States, Russia, France, Germany, Switzerland, Poland, the Czech Republic, England, Cyprus, Mexico, Brazil, and the British West Indies.  

Heather trained at top music schools, including the famous Juilliard in New York City.  Her numerous composing awards include three consecutive BMI Awards and two SOCAN awards.

Recently, she was hired by Myriad Pictures to score the official trailer for the film Main Street starring Colin Firth and Orlando Bloom. Her current film scores include the independent feature film Archeology of a Woman, starring Oscar-nominee and Golden Globe winner Sally Kirkland, Hott Damned, directed by Ryan Isreal, and Midnight Violin for BRAVO television in Canada.

Currently based in Los Angeles, she also maintains a presence in Toronto for Canadian-based film/TV projects.
